I DO enjoy your posts, KRISTI!! ❤ The beautiful graphics you post make me feel cheerful just looking at them! You include many songs that are powerfully encouraging and really good musically also. And most of all, your constnat reminders of “our common faith” and the incfredible, joyful ceertan hope of the resrrection, sins already forgiven, our resurrected bodies which will never feel pain or grow old, the peace and joys of being in Heaven, safe forever, no more death, no more fear … WOW! Oops, I mean HALLELUJAH!

Amen! Thank yo, KRISTI for posting this vital command from the LORD! And it’s easier to make a joyful noise, to serve with gladness, and to come before His presence singing, when you realize how much you have to be thankful for!
There was a time, about 30 years ago, when I was going through severe and constant depression. I came close to suicide several times. That’s only part of a long story (75 years to date) and it wasn’t the last of my problems, BUT the Lord showed me the way out of depression: thanking God for the things that were right in my life. I think I’ve told that story here before, so I won’t repeat it. Short version: the Holy Spirit prompted me to began thanking God for the things that were right in my life. I realized that I had MANY things to be thankful for. Ways and events where God had protected me and helped me and I hadn’t even taken the time to think about the fact that he was helping and protecting me. When I began to do that daily, the depression began to lift. Within a year it was gone and has not returned. I have had other problems of my own making, which God also led me through in spite of my stupidity, ignorance, and ingratitude toward Him. But that was the beginning of the biggest positive change in my Christian walk.
I storngly encourage every believer in Jesus, don’t try to manufacture joy and gladness. First do some quiet thinking about the ways in which God has helped, guided, and protected you. If you can’t think of any, ask Him in humility (NOT humiliation) to show you how He has been with you and helped and protected you. You will be amaxed! And you will KNOW that “the Lord is on your side”!. And the joy and gadness will come naturally and will become a self-reinforcing feedback as you practice looking for and thanking God for the many ways he helps, teaches, guides, and protects you!

You are in my prayers, Kristi! May God be with you in this time of need. I want to thank your friend, lawngren, who let me know about this. I hope you have family members who can help you. I live in Arkansas but I once lived in Portland, Oregon. I know how stormy things can get there but these winds seem much worse than anything I ever experienced there. Like your friend told you, if you have no one to call, you can always contact your local police for information on getting some help.

Heavenly Father, again we ask humbly but fervently for Your help for Kristi’s very unpleasant, possibly dangerous, possibly life-threatening situation! Please enter that situation in power, swiftly, with love and mercy and tender care for Kristi!
There are at least several of us oraying to You for Kristi, Heavenly Father. Your Son promised us that if we asked anything in His name, You would give it to us. I am claiming that promise for Kristi’s situation. King Jesus made that promise several times:
John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
John 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in m name, he may give it you.
John 16:23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
John 16:24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. HEAVENLY FATHER, PLEASE GIVE US THIS JOY ACCORDING TO YOUR SON’S PROMISE: that You solve Kristi’s problem so that we may all rejoice togehter in Your love and care for her!
How can it be, Heavenly Father, that one of Your Son’s promises should fail? Surely that is impossible. Surely You have delayed Your response so that we may demonstrate our persisting faith in You by continuing to pray for Kristi! May our earnest urgent petition be granted by You, in Jesus’ holy name.
