Judging by events taking place around the world, I think that the return of the Lord is very near. I hope so. But Christians are commanded to “endure til the end”, and also to “occupy til I come”. That word translated “occupy” literally means just that – continue in purposeful, useful work of some sort until King Jesus returns. That may be a 9-to-5 office job, it may be writing posts like Kristi Ann does, it may mean working in a law office or on a construction site. We just need to remember that our occupation is our second job. Our life, lived as a witness before God and humans, is our primary job while we live in these bodies.
“Only one life, twill soon be past.
Only what’s done for Christ will last.”
And what we do for the sake of His name will be a blessing and a light to everyone who will listen when the Holy Spirit speaks!
Thank You, Abba, for allowing us to have some small part with You as You lead people to salvation!
