    I wan Born with my Sternum Fused too my Back bone, my Birth Defect is called Pectus Excavatum. My Entire Rib cage was rebuilt and I have Stainless Steel wires that hold my rib cage together. In 1965 doctors operated on me and moved my heart and lungs and kidneys too their right places!! I have a Ruptured disk in my Neck at C5-C6, and a very bad Ruptured disk in my Lower back that is pressing on two sides of my spinal cord, with not enough room for the nerves too go through it, and its located at L4-L5!!   3. “The LORD shall Fight for you, and ye shall hold your PEACE.” That reminds me of King Jesus instructing His disciples, “When you are brought before synagogues, rulers and authorities, do not worry about how you will defend yourselves or what you will say, for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say.” (Luke 12:11-12)

    Kristi, that verse dovetails perfectly with all those verses you followed it with that urge us to trust God. 🙂 🙂 Thank you for that reminder, Lady!

    If an attorney didn’t prepare his case well before the court date, his client would be wise to fire him. The client might even have the right to sue you.

    But for Christians on trial, this makes perfect sense, because the Holy Spirit is our attorney, and He knows more about the laws than the lawmakers who wrote them. Besides, He might have a different plan for our trial than we would have. He might want us to lose our case because there are prisoners or guards who need to hear the Gospel and never would if we don’t go to jail, or to prison. Or He might want the case to be about the issue rather than laws.

    Yes, God might choose to allow us to be sentenced to prison. That has been a very common experience down through the centuries for Christians. Or, among other things while we’re in prison, God might want us to write something. John Bunyan wrote an all-time bestseller titled “Pilgrim’s Progress’ while he was in prison. If you prefer videos, by the way, here’s the excellent animated version of Pilgrim’s progress:

    Paul wrote, “Remember that Jesus Christ, of the seed of David, was raised from the dead according to my gospel, for which I suffer trouble as an evildoer, even to the point of chains; but the Word of God is not chained.” (2nd Timothy 2:8-9)

    We hear stories of Muslims coming to faith in Jesus in closed countries because the Word of God is not chained, fenced out, buried, or deported. There are no limits to what the Holy Spirit can do! Praise God!

    • A friend recommended the movie to me. I had started to read the book many years ago and was bored with it. I resisted, my friend persisted, so I gave in and watched it. I am very glad I did! It was enjoyable, NOT boring, and I found that I had more in common with “Christian Pilgrim” than I really wanted to admit – all the times he left the right path. It’s good to see ourselves honestly, and often that takes someone or something other than ourselves to help us see.
