The use of darkness and light as figures of speech to compare the saved with the unsaved is perfect. Pity and pray for those who live in darkness. Think of being lost in the woods at night, no light visible except your flashlight, the moon goes behind a cloud BANK – and your flashlight batteries die. If you’ve never been there, you may not realize how scary that is. You can’t even walk safely.
“But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” ( 2 Corinthians 4:3-6 )
Pray for those who walk in darkness. And thank God daily that you don’t if you are a born-again believer in Jesus!

“The UN says so” is not a sufficient legal analysis. This example serves the false logic of “Appeal to Authority”. Attempts to pigeon hole, post the illegal Jordanian nationalization “West Bank”, as a “geographic term” used “internationally” fails to weight the bias of UN SC Resolution 2334 on par with UN GA Resolution 3379.
The UN has a long history of anti-Israel activities. Hence the language “West Bank” hardly qualifies as an accurate “geographic term”. Wars and Treaties trump UN chatter-box revisionist history. The ICC and ICJ. Their decisions may assert jurisdiction under their own constitutive instruments, but that does not automatically prove that they can override Oslo’s allocation of authority, treat Gaza as under unified Palestinian control, or transform a diplomatic designation into uncontested sovereignty. Those conclusions require a separate and explicit legal argument—and remain open to substantial criticism.
Germany’s 1941 invasion destroyed the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact as a functioning nonaggression arrangement, regardless of the formal language used to describe its termination. SALT ceased to function as a respected arms-control framework once the parties no longer treated its restraints as politically operative. Trump’s withdrawal reflected a rejection of Obama’s Iran policy, regardless of whether the JCPOA was technically classified as a treaty.
The parties’ conduct, interests, and subsequent events determine whether Oslo remains a functioning political framework. An international court cannot preserve, revive, or transform Oslo by treating it as though it were an abstract instrument detached from the parties’ actual consent and conduct. Hamas did not sign Oslo, took control of Gaza from the PA, and does not accept Oslo’s framework. Treating “Palestine” as a unified actor with uninterrupted authority over Gaza risks confusing a diplomatic label with an actual governing and treaty relationship.
An agreement loses authority when the parties’ strategic interests and conduct show that they no longer accept it as controlling. Arafat launched the 2nd Intifada in 2000, this decision fundamentally breached the Oslo Accords as did his failure to amend the PA Charter as he formally agreed to do when signing the Oslo Accords. UN Resolutions Chapter VI or Chapter VII do not have more authority than treaties signed between allies. The UN compares to the recent terrorist attempt to slaughter Israelis during the recent 2026 Sukkot Chag, which had it succeeded might have shattered the Abraham Accords and made the UN 2 State Solution dictate to Israel – the only game in town.
The UN can use only the powers actually given to it by the UN Charter. Those powers do not, merely because they come from the UN, automatically cancel, rewrite, or override the Oslo agreements. Anyone making that argument must show exactly which Charter power is being used, why the relevant UN body has authority over the issue, and how that power legally interacts with the parties’ existing treaty obligations. Saying “the UN has authority” – a bogus argument. The claim must identify the particular organ—such as the Security Council, General Assembly, or another body—and the specific Charter provision that allegedly grants the power.
Propaganda rhetoric of the UN – Occupied West Bank Territories – presumes Judea and Samaria as false based upon the language of UN SC 2334. The revisionist history pretends akin to Arafat’s rhetoric that the Palestinian people trace their roots back to the Boat-People Philistines from the Greek Islands! Never in all recorded Human history an Arab Palestinian State. Refusal by UN bodies to call a spade a spade – Yechuda and Samaria prove a bias conclusion rather than an objective recommendation.
General Assembly recognition of Palestine and British most recent boycott of Israeli private industry in Judea & Samaria prove political bias. That Israel has only responded to London and not EU countries who likewise seek to dictate a two State “Final Solution” compares to the vision of Jewish refugees treatment during the Middle Ages. The latter ‘low hanging fruit’, so too Britain after Brexit.
Even if a UN organ has some Charter-based authority, the claimant must explain why that authority applies to the parties and how it legally affects their treaty obligations. Employment of UN Charter-based authority arguments almost 100 years after the fact compares to Xtian gospel claims of Messiah man/God over 1000 years after the revelation of the Torah at Sinai. The latter example throughout history defined through hate arousing Christ killer rhetoric. Never once did the Goyim NT ever raise the issue: How does the Torah itself define the mitzva of Moshiach? As such both the earlier NT propaganda and the UN Charter propaganda used to promote anti-Israel hatred. Appeals to UN authority do not, by themselves, establish that the Oslo agreements have been changed or overridden. That conclusion requires a specific Charter power, proper jurisdiction, and a legally reasoned explanation of how the power affects the parties’ treaty obligations.

Solution: none, because behind the chaos is:
On the human level, the fallen nature of human beings which won’t be solved completely until the sheep are separated from the goats and welcomed into God New Heavens and New Earth, while the goats are interned for eternity in God’s eternal version of CECOT prison.
On the spiritual level, the psychotic hatred of the devil and the other demons for God and all His creations and all humans (because we were created in God’s image and will take the places the demons abandoned: Jude 6: “And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.” )
May that day come speedily.

Shabbat a wisdom-time oriented Av commandment … as opposed to a secondary positive or negative toldot/secondary\precedent commandment which does not require k’vanna.
This separation between Primary נגד secondary Torah commandments the NT and Koran totally ignore. The NT originally written in Greek and that foreign tongue represents a radically different culture custom paradigm akin to the incongruity wherein the church made their Sunday as their sabbath and the mosque did the same but different incompatibility declaring the 6th day of the week as their Jumuʿah Mubārakah!
Torah Jews in exile “converted” into a religion but Torah when the 12 Tribes originally accepted the revelation – a Written Constitution which mandates Sanhedrin common law federal coourts with the power of legislative review over any statute law imposed by Tribal head/governments.The idea of tawhid Monotheism which the Koran “prophet” promotes (totally at discord) with the 2nd Sinai commandment akin to the Koran declaration that Avraham bound Yishmael at the Akedah. The Greek NT likewise failed to grasp the subtle distinction which differentiate witchcraft from prophesy. Bil’aam the “prophet” foretold the future as did the Book of Daniel. However Daniel excluded, in the Hebrew T’NaCH from the category of “NaCH/prophets”. Just as Shabbat first introduced in the Aggadic creation story does not mean 7th Day as the Protestant Adventists insist but rather “Week”. Granted that exiled Jewry “converted” shabbat into the last day of the week. Nonetheless every Friday “evening” observant Jews make kiddush which separates מלאכה as forbidden from עבודה permitted work.
The Greek NT makes no such subtle distinctions. Not with Shabbat nor with the abstract term prophet. For example: the Book of Daniel excluded from the NaCH\prophets because both he and Bil’aam – both mystics rather than prophets. This fine splitting of hairs nuance under-standing known in later Talmudic legalism as pilpul … understanding the difference between like from like. An example being t’rumah, ma’asar, and chol; a Torah tax imposed upon crops which separates the Cohonim from the Leviim who have no Tribal land-bound Yichus but like all other of the 12 Tribal lands of the Republic their “Yichus” – being the 3 son of Yaacov – determined through the father rather than the mother. The NT Hercules story – that son of God – as no Yichus to any of the sons of Yaacov.
This type of discernment the Torah refers to as רב חסד whereas the Aramaic in the Talmud repeatedly asks מאי נפקא מינא? What’s the distinction? The Siddur affixs this wisdom skill to the blessing: which distinguishes between the 3 possible spirit types called tequiah, tru’ah and sh’varim which discern between the Ya’tzir Ha-Tov tohor spirits within the heart from the Ya’tzir Ha-Rah tumah spirits also in the heart by discerning not only the distinction between tohor vs tumah spirits but more physically fundamental the wind blown from the lungs necessary to blow the shofar at all on יום הזכרון – Rosh HaShanna.
The B’HaG ruled that the ‘Aliyah’ of Av wisdom-time oriented commandments applied to rabbinic mitzvot elevates them to commandments from the Torah. Hence he ruled, as did Rashi, that visiting sick a mitzva from the Torah because it learns from the precedent of lighting the lights of both shabbat and Hanukkah – possible to raise both rabbinic mitzvot unto tohor wisdom-time oriented commandments by means of prophetic mussar as their k’vanna.
So besides shabbat and prophet being distinct from Sunday for Xtians and Friday for Muslims and prophet distinct from mystics such as both Bil’aam and Daniel represent, so too and how much more so the pilpul separates t’shuva from repentance based upon the Torah precedent (Torah court room law a common law legal system as opposed to and by Tribal statute laws; the Book of דברים also known as משנה תורה means “Common law”.), for t’shuva being separation from blood vs blood. The blood of the goat cast off the cliff as opposed to the blood of the goat sprinkled before the פרכת which separates the Holy of Holies from the Holy place in the Mishkan. Hence the connection between יום הזכרון to יום הכיפורים.
A forth example of distinction: The logic which defines how to study and learn both T’NaCH and Talmud/Midrashim and Siddur, a dynamic inductive reasoning which compare or contrasts similar items – akin to the two sights of a rifle which permits a sniper to shoot long distances down range. By stark contrast the lights of Hanukkah commemorate/remember the dedication made within the borders of the Independent Maccabee state free from the Syrian Greek empire to only learn the T’NaCH and Sanhedrin common law legalism by Case/Rule precedent comparison to similar courtroom precedent rulings; this reasoning defines fluid inductive reasoning as opposed to Greek static syllogism deductive logic which both Plato and Aristotle Greek philosophy promotes.
The kavanah falsely translated as “INTENT”. The latter fails the jurisdictional bridge that pulls secondary toldot commandment/mitzvot unto primary Av wisdom-time oriented commandments which ספר בראשית opens by introducing as its Central Theme “Wisdom-time Oriented Commandments” as taught through the Prime example of Shabbat תמיד מעשה בראשית – repeated twice as emphasis in the opening blessing drabbanon of שחרית תפילה דאורייתא קריא שמע. The Rambam interest criticized the B’HaG for repeatedly promoting rabbinic mitzvot as Torah commandments but failed to discern, at least according to the RambaN’s critique made on his positive 5th commandment ספר המצוות, the subtle distinction between tefillah from tefillah – kre’a shma from shemone esrei. Akin to how mesechta ברכות debates the separation between the blessing vs the actual Torah language of kre’a shma – which constitute as the mitzva from the Torah?
Kavanah … the vector that pulls the Toldot mitzvot unto the Av commandments. This k’vanna vector absolute distinction which separates Rabbinic mitzvot as secondary to Deoraita commandments as sealed through a static reading of the Written Torah – the fundamental error made by the Rambam’s book of commandments and his Yad statute law halachic code. By ignoring this vector, the Rambam “seals” the Written Torah, turning it into a frozen statute code of law akin to the Code of Hammurabi he Babylonianized … Greek/Romanized it into assimilated statute law which stands upon the flawed logic of making an appeal based upon authority. This basic Constitutional error defines British common law wherein the Parliamentary law defines the Constitution of Great Britain and no British court can thereafter challenge any law passed by Parliament.
Long before the rise of the British Parliament as dominant over the King, English lords began to reject the false notion of divine right of king John through the Magna Carta 1215! Placed in context of France history – a compare & contrast between the similarities and differences between the two societies duplicates משנה תורה\common law! In 1242 the French king burned all Talmudic manuscripts within the borders of the kingdom at Paris. Whereas the king of England made a forced population transfer of all Jews from Great Britian in 1290, which the French did not do the same until 1306. The common denominator of tyrannical governments – both imposed taxation without representation upon the Jews under their domains like as did king George III upon Americans.
The Rambam’s Yad (completed c. 1180) just before a train of catastrophes. Based upon the בנין אב precedent of the 2nd Sinai commandment, interpreted by both Moshe and NaCH prophets through the toldot commandments do not follow the ways customs or mannerism of the peoples of either Egypt or Canaan; do not intermarry with with foreign women of Midian and Ezra’s – Shomronim. In a tragic irony, Rambam’s attempt to “protect” the law by sealing it, actually prepared the ground for its destruction; his assimilation to foreign cultures shattered the “Ethical Containment Force” the opening p’sukim describe the Creation story in בראשית.
By removing the Kavanah Vector, Rambam made the Torah appear like a static statute book—exactly what the French King and the Inquisition knew how to burn or torture unto submission. A living Constitution with a functioning court system far harder to abrogate than a frozen code. Like as did Czar Alexander II Emancipation (1861) decree; when he like Lincoln freed the peasants from their lords who served Czarist autocracy as its constitutional pillar.
Prior to the 1905 revolution the peasants condemned their Aristocratic land stealing lords, like Arabs since 1948. (Unlike Western feudalism the Czar feared his Aristocrats so he moved them from domain to domain within the vast borders of mother Russia.) But after the Czar ordered his guards to massacre peasant protesters – this act – akin to Oct 7th 2023, pulled the blindfold from off the eyes of the peasants. The central pillar of Czarist autocracy stood upon the feudal aristocracy. The consequence of this action too “shattered the ethical containment force” of Czarist Russia whose anarchy expressed through repeated revolutions.

This world is becoming a desperate place. Here in America we have not yet been hit as hard as other nations, but the time of God’s rage against sin is coming.
“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse. because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,” ( Romans 1:18-22 )
When the ship siinks, the fools and those who defy God or deny His existence will be on it, and their destination will be hell.. By their own choice. It doesn’t have to be that way, as Kristi pointed out above with many Bible verses about how to be saved:

Kristi, you said a few days ago that you were tired and needed a couple days off. I and everyone who comments here will agree that you have constantly honored Gosd the Father and King Jesus with everything you have, even though you are enduring such suffering, and for so long, that even Job would have broken down in tears.
I want you to know the God sees every second of your suffering. I want to tell you that the greater the suffering, the greater the reward. Because you honor God even in your pain and suffering, He will honor you.
These words were written by the apostle paul, a man who also suffered extensively. Although he used “the editorial we”, he was speaking here about his own suffering:
“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” ( 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 )
You have been living for a long time what Paul wrote about, and God sees it all, Kristi. He loves you more than you are able to imagine, and when you leave this life you will receive a welcome in Heaven that will stagger you. The applause of the holy angels will be deafening! A States’-Rights Reading of American History
Libertarian / states’-rights reading of American history: A real tradition of thought, not a fringe one: Calhoun, the 1896 Populists, Rothbard, and Ron Paul all walk some version of this road. Madison in Federalist 10 defines a pure democracy as a society of few citizens governing themselves directly, and says such democracies “have ever exhibited spectacles of turbulence and contention.” The word Democracy appears essentially nowhere in the Declaration or Constitution; “republic” the operative term (Art. IV §4 guarantees each state a republican form of government). Washington, Adams, and others used “democracy” pejoratively. The Bill of Rights – written against concentrated power, and the original design had Senators chosen by state legislatures, specifically so the Senate represented states as governments, not populations.
1913 really, a hinge year: Federal Reserve Act, 16th Amendment (income tax), 17th Amendment (direct election). Deflation after 1865 genuinely crushed debtors — farmers especially — the direct ancestor William Jennings Bryan’s “Cross of Gold” speech. Jefferson in Paris when Madison drafted the Bill of Rights. Gibbons v. Ogden (1824) already read “among the several states” expansively, and Justice Marshall, not a states’-rights theorist as Madison & Jefferson. The Commerce Clause – partly written because interstate tariffs under the Articles effectively strangled trade. The Interstate Commerce Act aimed at the Robber Barons – weakly. Akin to how Teddy Roosevelt’s anti-trust law, by means of a logical inference, “permitted” the Government to “establish” government approved monopolies such as the 3rd Central Bank and later the Military Industrial Complex. Bottom line: before 1913 the federal government had no direct grab on individual income and no permanent bureaucratic revenue apparatus; after, it did.
The Interstate Commerce Act aimed at the Robber Barons – akin to how Teddy’s anti-trust laws “permitted” the Government – by the above mentioned logical inference – to “establish” government approved monopolies such as the 3rd Central Bank and later the Military Industrial Complex. Madison argued in Federalist 62 – the Senate a body of the states-as-governments, per the Connecticut Compromise. The 17th Amendment genuinely removed the original intent of the Framer of the Constitution. The Supreme Court should rule that amendment compares directly to Prohibition and the later invalidation of Roe vs. Wade.
The States of the Union forged a Republic. The word “democracy” so emphasized and adored post Civil War, never once employed in the Declaration of Independence nor either the first or second Constitutions of the United States. The Declaration refers to government deriving its powers from “the consent of the governed,” and the Constitution begins “We the People.” A clear interpretation — based upon the bill of Rights in contrast to the 1789 French Rights of Man prioritizes citizens over the rights of feudal lords. Napoleon needed soldiers, hence he included even Jews as citizens.
The influence of 17th and 18th Century philosophers interpreted distinctly different by two completely different cultures and societies of revolutionary America vs revolutionary France. Akin to the original NT Greek manuscripts – “total blindness” to the fundamental distinctions between מלאכה vs. עבודה in shabbat observance. The former a Torah wisdom which dictates prophetic mussar as the k’vanna/intent required by all wisdom-time oriented Av commandments such as in the specific shabbat commandment. The latter static and fixed limited to concrete actions rather than internal matters of the heart.
The Declaration refers to government deriving its powers from “the consent of the governed,” and the Constitution begins “We the People.” A clear interpretation — based upon the bill of Rights in stark contrast with the 1789 French Rights of Man: The latter, explicitly universal and anti-feudal, abolishing Caste system – privilege by feudal ownership of estates together with their serfs; whereas the former frames the Republic’s relationship between the States vs the Central Government. Issue of individual liberty not emphasized based upon the limited voting franchise restricted to land owning men. The Framers of the Constitution lived on the cusp of the Industrial Revolution. Virtually all agricultural based economies throughout human history have required cheap labor, due to farming being labor intensive. Pre-Lincoln’s War, Senator Calhoun retrojection defended the institution of Southern slavery.
However, ‘the hand writing on the wall’, obvious to all who had eyes that see. Czarist Russia after the 1856 Crimean War defeat, reached the identical conclusion, that for Russia to remain a ‘Great Power’ it too had to follow the examples set by England, France and Germany and the United States. Contrast the Crimean War with the 1956 Suez Canal Crisis where both Britain and France ceased as ‘Great Powers’, due to their diminished industrial capacities when compared to the bi-polar super-powers, which pitted the US against the USSR.
The Commerce Clause together with the 10th Amendment served as the vision of freedom for the States of the Republic to manage and regulate through “State(s) Rights” all intra-State trade and commerce. Likewise, the other 9 Amendments of the Bill of Rights too policed the Federal and State governments from political “over-reach” by setting limits on the new federal government which now established an additional Executive Branch, which the Articles did not mandate.
This second Constitution gave Congress power to [bureaucratically] regulate inter-State commerce. Post Lincolns’ War restoration of the Republic, both Parties in Congress passed the Inter-State Commerce Act. Madison\Jefferson’s Bill of Rights clearly feared a strong “king-like” Executive Branch that it, along with the other two mandated branches of the Government might abuse their powers and authority such as “divine right of kings” or Big Brother carpet bagger bureaucrats which defined Czarist Autacracy and post Lincoln’s War America. The contrast of the 2nd US Constitution to the later French Revolution which witnessed the rise of Napoleon – a clear rejection of democracy – proved the fears of the Bill of Rights as meritorious.
While the Interstate Commerce Act of 1887 had bi-partisan support in Congress, it came AFTER the Radical Republicans restricted Lincolns’ ‘Greenback’ fiat money by some 25%. This economic stupidity concentrated wealth and effectively contributed to the rise of the ‘Robber-Barons’, whose monopolies, starting with the railroads, would shape post Civil War America.
The Citizens United political expression recognizes corporate rights to spend on political speech, while the SAVE America Act, generally speaking – seeks stricter eligibility and identification requirements for citizens voters, based upon the premise that the Bill of Rights most essentially serve to protect citizens of America rather than peoples’ who enter the country illegally. Peoples living in other lands come under the laws of those lands not the laws of America. Just as American citizens their rights to vote in other democratic national elections equally restricted. Citizens United recognizes the 1st Amendment as inclusive of certain corporate political spending. The Save America Act stated aim – tighter citizenship-documentation and voter-ID requirements
Mitt Romney said “Corporations are people, my friend” at the Iowa State Fair on August 11, 2011, during his campaign for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination. He based this response upon Citizens United v. FEC (2010). Candidates elected receive huge “donations” which defines the corruption of “democracy” over defeated Confederate States-Rights. The 17th Amendment to stripped State legislators from appointing Senators to Washington combined with the 1937 expansive Commerce Clause reading, set the stage for the SC Roe vs Wade ruling.
NLRB v. Jones & Laughlin Steel Corp. (1937) the Court pivots from “Direct” to “indirect” effects. Before 1937, the Court (the Lochner era Court) held that manufacturing and production were local activities, strictly outside Congress’s power. Only the actual exchange of goods across state lines was “interstate commerce.” The National Labor Relations Board ordered Jones & Laughlin Steel to stop unfair labor practices. Steel argued that labor relations were local manufacturing, not interstate commerce. If the effect on interstate commerce is indirect, Congress cannot regulate it; based upon the Schechter Poultry and Carter v. Carter Coal Co. precedent. In 1937 the Court shifted the test from “Is the activity itself commerce?” to “Does the activity substantially affect commerce?” The consequences of this ruling: Labor relations, wages, and hours—previously off-limits—now federalized because they exist as “burdens on” commerce.
United States v. Darby (1941) overturned the Hammer v. Dagenhart and Cementing the “Substantial Effect” Test. In Hammer v. Dagenhart (1918), the Court had struck down a federal ban on child labor goods, distinguishing between the “evil” (child labor) and the “goods” (commerce). It said Congress couldn’t regulate local labor conditions just because the resulting goods moved across state lines. In 1941 the Court unanimously overruled Hammer v. Dagenhart. Justice Stone (who had dissented in Hammer) wrote that the power to regulate commerce “is the power to prescribe the rule by which commerce is to be governed.” Darby kicked the hinges off the 10th Amendment. The Court declared that Congress can exercise its commerce power to prohibit the movement of any article in interstate commerce that it deems harmful to the public welfare; federal bureaucratic regulation of local production standards (wages/hours), fully constitutional because regulating the goods shipped interstate implicitly regulated the labor that made them.
Wickard v. Filburn (1942) – the final nail into the coffin. If Darby federalized labor, Wickard federalized everything, including pure self-consumption, this in-effect buried “local” non-commercial distinctions. Roscoe Filburn grew wheat on his own farm in Ohio, exceeding his allotment under the Agricultural Adjustment Act. The excess wheat he fed to his own poultry and used for his own family’s consumption – purely local, non-commercial activity. Justice Jackson wrote that even if Filburn’s activity is local and not commercial, if it is economic in nature, and if the aggregate of such activities by thousands of farmers substantially affects the supply and price of wheat in interstate commerce, then Congress can regulate it. The distinction between “interstate” and “intrastate” commerce, and between “production” and “commerce,” was erased. Almost any human activity with an economic dimension became subject to federal control.
This undercuts the framers intention to establish Constitutional checks and balances to shape the 3 mandated branches of Government and their priority relationship with the States of the Republic. The post WWII National Debt primarily reflected caused by the Federal Government became the largest employer of Americans than private industry.
Therefore the 20th Century revolving door between bureaucracies and Corporate monopolies – a clear incest abomination. Madison argued in Federalist 62, which describes the Senate a body of the states-as-governments, per the Connecticut Compromise. The 17th Amendment genuinely removed the original intent of the Framer of the Constitution and like Roe vs Wade the Supreme Court should weigh this Amendment on par with the Prohibition Amendment.
Post Civil War, about $44 million in greenbacks withdrawn before Congress ended the Contraction Act’s redemption program in February 1868. The Public Credit Act of 1869, a separate later measure concerning repayment of Civil War bondholders The later Specie Resumption Act of 1875 set redemption in gold for 1879 and renewed the contraction debate. Compare this policy of “economic stupidity” to the Federally established monopoly which determine the interest charged on money by all banking institutions; the Fed under FDR it likewise duplicated the same “economic stupidity” post collapse of Wall Street in 1929, Hoover’s depression.
This “dog returns to eat its own vomit” error effectively contributed to the negation of the Homestead Act of 1862, corporate monopolies acquisition of properties who paid pennies on the dollar for the bankrupted farm lands. Described aptly in the story: “The Grapes of Wrath”. This novel portrays the horrors suffered by tenant farmers driven from Oklahoma by drought and foreclosures; & their exploitation and the harsh conditions these “refugees” endured in California. A virtual replay of Andrew Jackson’s trail of tears – karma has its consequences.
That same year Wilson radically changed the US experiment and abandoned the advice by the Founding Fathers wherein he duplicated European Central Banking monopoly traditions, that same year the Federal Government abandon tariffs as the main tool to raise money in favor of taxation through the bureaucracy of the IRS\16th Amendment, and passage of the 17th Amendment which stripped the Constitutional power mandated to the States to send Senators as “ministers of the States” to Washington.
This Amendment ignored the warning issued in the Federalist Papers that democracy requires an educated public. State legislators watched their appointed Senators whom they sent to Washington with the “educated eyes” of a predatory hawk; the general public more bread and potatoes reactionary in nature. Hence election of Representative every two years while Senators every 6 years. The general election of Senators has aroused the call for term limits; perhaps a Senators too should stand for election no different from Representatives.
While the Feds Board of Governors a federal agency appointed by the President and confirmed by the Senate, once in power the Fed operates independent from Government over-view no different than most regulatory laws the eyes of Congress never debate. J.P. Morgan & Co. made huge loans to England and France; in 1917 the Fed extended roughly $2.3 billion in credits to the Allies. When Wilson declared war on Germany, the threat of the consequences of declaring war upon England and France stood as the darkest shadow – that both countries would negate their obligations to pay the loans, like as did the Bolshevik Russia after they seized power.
J.P. Morgan died in 1913. None the less his banking interests greatly influenced the 1910 Jekyll Island planning meeting for the establishment of the 3rd Central Bank; a group including Senator Nelson Aldrich and prominent financiers drafted the banking-reform Aldrich Plan that influenced the later Federal Reserve. John Jacob Astor IV opposed the Aldrich Plan, his tragic death on the Titanic compares to the damned Yankees winning the Civil War in scope; as did passage of the 17th Amendment in 1913.
The land consolidation and mechanization, initiated by FDR’s socialist policies driven by tractor economics and later USDA production policy committed Washington to pay huge farming subsidies to the “Industrial Revolution” of farming industries.
