1. As the time of the Gentiles comes to an end, we are in the same position the Jews were in 2,000 years ago. They had a prophecy of impending destruction (Luke 21:20) and knew when to get out of jerusalem INSTANTLY! (See Luke 17:31-32)

   We know that we are near the end because 1) israel is a nation again and 2) all nations are turning against Israel.

   We are blessed beyond measure, because all true believers in Jesus, (the Body of Christ”, will be removed before the Great Tribulation. Of course, it can get horrible before then.

   BUT! What’s easy to miss is the mission hand-off: Those who say God is through with Israel are wrong! Just as the mission (of spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ) was handed off to the Gentile believers in AD 70 at the destruction of the Te,ple and the end of the Mosaic Law, so now the mission is going to be handed back tio Israel! PRAISE GOD He forgets not His own! There is a group of Jews, at this moment known only to God, who will become the most fervent and effective witnesses to the messiah that the world has ever seen!

   “After these things I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, on the sea, or on any tree. Then I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God. And he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, saying, ‘Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.’ ” (Revelation 7:1-3)

   HURRAH That day is almost here! Wake upo, Israel! Your God is speaking to your hearts again! HALLELUJAH!

3. There’s a lot of good music in this one. Thank you, Kristi. As usual, a lot of very important and comforting Scripture too. Thank you for your consistent, gentle witness to King Jesus and God the Father, Kristi.

   We are blessed beyond measure to have the Bible in abundance, in America especially, but also in all Western nations. Our culture has received the benefits of “common grace”, that is, the Gospel message has influenced enough lives that until recently in our history, say about 2008, we were protected by God to an amzing degree.

   But many Americans began to worship the gifts (peace, prosperity, convenience, opportunity) instead of the Giver, Who is the Holy One of Israel. Now we are in terminal trouble as a nation.

   I just read a news site article reporting that some of the wealthy are applying for citizenship in other nations they think will be safer. That may be true, for a while. But death comes to everyone, sooner or later. (Except for those who are beleivers in Jesus before the Rapture.) MIllions of people around the world ignore that scary FACT.

   Christians are the ones who are safe forever. God looks at us and sees the righteousness of Jesus accredited to our accounts, and our sins nailed to the cross of Jesus Christ. As we see the world getting darker, there are few people who are willing to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ and be saved. Christians must not measue their lives by the number of people they influance toward salvation, but by our faith. Do we live what we say we believe? Do we witness on those occasions when we can? Do we talk to God regularly and thank Him for the many blessings He has given us? Do we pray for others? Then we are living lives pleasing to God, and King Jesus will not be ashamed of us when we stand in Glory!

   HALLELUJAH! AMEN!

   • If I had to choose only three Scripture verses to tell the world, they’d be these. The first two Kristi quoted above:

     “For GOD so LOVED the World, that HE Gave HIS Only Begotten SON, that whosoever Believeth in HIM should not perish, but have Everlasting Life.”

     “Neither is there Salvation in any other: for there is none other Name under Heaven given among men ( or anyone ), whereby we must be SAVED.”

     Having mentioned Christ’s glorification on the mountain and the voice of God from Heaven approving Christ, Peter tells us something else is more important than that experience:

     “We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” (2nd Peter 1:20-21)

     At first that seems strange. Who wouldn’t want to be present to see such an awe-inspiring event as the Savior’s glorification, and hear God the Father speak from Heaven approving Him?

     But experiences can fade in memory. We can remember wrong. That’s why eye-witness testimony has to be sifted carefully, and why the Law of Moses said that the death penalty was only to be carried out with at least two witnesses to the crime. (Hebrews 10:28)

     But the Scriptures do not change! They are available in almost all of Earth’s languages. And Peter points out that the Scriptures came from the Holy Spirit, not from fallible humans. There are reasons why there APPEAR TO BE errors in Scripture, but others have already dealt with that concern. No vital truth has been left out or changed in all of Scripture. Some recent translations have deliberately corrupted the Bible, but all essential doctrines in those translations made by devout Christians are as sound as the day they were first written. Which is why Peter called the word of prophecy “more sure”. People have claimed that the disciples’ reports of Jesus’ resurrection appearances were hallucinations. But the prophecies dovetail with all we know of Jesus’ entire life. There’s zero possibility of hallucination there. Especially given the other prophecies entwined with the Messianic prophecies that were historically, undeniably, accurate.

     And since the Scriptures are reliable, we can believe those first two verses that Kristi posed above. (Among many others.) And so we REJOICE in the certainty of the forgiveness of sins and eternal life in God’s Kingdom for those who receive Jesus as Lord and Savior! HALLELUJAH! HOSANNA!

5. Sometimes I think I’m an idiot. Other times I know I am. I knocked over a glass of water onto my computer and it died. I’m allowed to use the work computer (Friday afternoon, all day Saturday, and noon till 11 pm on Sunday. So I’ll be commenting then, but I don’t know how long it will be until I can get another computer up and running. So don’t take silence as an indication that I’m no longer around.

This week, April 22-30, Jews celebrate Passover, the feast in remembrance of the blood of the lamb on their doorposts causing the death angel to pass over their houses when he killed all the firstborn in Egypt. Obviously it’s one of Israel’s holiest days. It was on Passover that King Jesus was crucified and became “the Lamb of God Who takes away the sins of the world”! HALLELUJAH! HOSANNA!

   After His resurrection, Acts 1 tells us that Jesus “presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.”

   The disciples had seen many miracles, including several people raised from the dead, and Jesus’ own resurrection. They had been with Jesus for several years. Now He tells them that He’s going away. But He leaves with them instructions and an incredible promise: the promise of “the gift of the Father”, meaning the baptism of the Holy Spirit, who then began to indwell believers and has ever since.

   The disciples had heard Jesus say at the Last Supper when He served the wine after dinner, “This is My blood of the new covenant which is poured out for you.” Being devout Jews, they knew that something earth-shaking was about to happen.

   When Jesus left them, He left them thoroughly prepared. They would receive the Holy Spirit several days later, they had a mission plan (You shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem, in Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

   Christians today have the same resources the disciples had and more! We have the completed Word of God to feed out spirits and cleanse our hearts and minds. We may be about to begin a rough ride here in America, as Christians have in most of the rest of the world since the 1st century. So we need to saturate our minds in God’s Word and pray daily. Jesus warned the disciples of persecution to come, but not to discourage them. It was like a military commander telling the troops what to expect, so they wouldn’t be shocked into immobility when the enemy attacked. We need the same strength of will they had, and that can only come through prayer, Bible reading, and allowing the Holy Spirit to lead us and shape us more like the image of Christ.

   May we be as strong as we have to be in a manner that will bring honor to our God and Savior. And may God speed the ending of Israel’s blindness so that they may be saved!

7. Kristi, I seem to be hogging this page. If you’d rather not post this comment, which is in fact an article I wrote, I will not be hurt or disappointed if you delete it. Just be sure you read far enough to know what I’m talking about

   A NEW WEAPONS SYSTEM: There have been debate for years over which battle rifle is the best.

   It doesn’t matter to me which is declared best, because decades ago I got basic training with a far superior weapon. (Ephesians 6:17; Isaiah 49:2; Hosea 6:5; Hebrews 4:12) Among other superior capabilities, this weapon can enable users to strike targets in the future! Even if you die before impact. Hebrews 11:4: “By faith Abel brought God a better offering than Cain did. By faith he was commended as righteous, when God spoke well of his offerings. And by faith Abel still speaks, even though he is dead.”

   In fact, I have acquired an entire weapons system, including helmet, body armor, riot shield, and combat boots. (Ephesians 6:13-18) More on the other pieces of equipment in later bulletins. As I see the war I’m fighting getting hotter (Matthew 7:15 & 10:16; Acts 20:29; 2^nd Timothy 3:1-5; Romans 1:18-32; 1^st Timothy 4:1-5; 2^nd Timothy 3:13)  I’m spending more time refreshing my training and taking additional training. (2^nd Peter 1:5-10)

   I strongly urge everyone to adopt this weapons system without delay. All other issues aside, it solves the problem of death:

   “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.” (John 5:24) Note the past tense there: “has passed”. The CHRISTIAN’s transition is from death into life, and it happens in a flash when a person receives Jesus as Savior and Lord.

   I have a Personal Trainer (John 14:16-17; and 25-26 ) who is, by the way, accepting new recruits. Due to my lack of discipline (I’m trying to avoid saying “laziness”) I’m not what I should be, but thank God, I’m not what I was! (Colossians 2:13-15)

   If anyone is interested, I’m an Authorized Recruiter. (Revelation 1:6 and 5:10) In fact, that’s the second duty of those who train with this weapons system: once trained, recruit!

   To become a recruit, you have to pass a personal interview with the Commander in Chief through whom these weapons systems are available. His name is Joshua ben David. Yes, he’s Jewish. As one ex-nazi said, he is the Ultimate Jew. Anti-Semites not accepted.

   Acts 2:32: “This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.”

   Acts 5:32: “And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.”

   Every applicant who accepts the Commander’s terms without mental reservation will be accepted. The Commander Himself guaranteed this:

   “All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will not reject.” That’s all. Just come to the Commander. You don’t have to be physically fit. You don’t have to be a mental giant. You don’t even have to have a clean drug test, if you are sincere about this. You can be in prison and apply from there. You can even (I know this is hard to believe) be a politician and still be accepted. (John 6:37)

   I strongly urge everyone who reads this who is not yet a recruit to apply now! The benefits far outweigh any injuries you might experience. And it appears more certain every day that everyone on Planet Earth will experience injuries and / or death. A seasoned recruit and veteran of this combat said this:

   “Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” (2^nd Corinthians 4:16-18)

   What Peter said, I say also:

   Then Peter said to them, ‘Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.’ And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, ‘Be saved from this perverse generation.’ Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.” (Acts 2:38-41)

   By all means pass this on to anyone you know who might need it.
