I have a Ruptured disk in my Neck at C5-C6, and a very bad Ruptured disk in my Lower back that is pressing on two sides of my spinal cord, with not enough room for the nerves too go through it, and its located at L4-L5!! The word “earnest” in that verse is equivalent to our English term “down payment”. The same word is used in the same application in 2nd Corinthians 1:22 and 5:5, and this verse in Epohesians. Brothers and sisters, numbers have significance in the Bible. When the Gopd in Three Persons tells you something three times, you know He is emphasizing it to the maximum.
We are “sealed” with the Holy Spirit! He is Gpod’s guarantee to us that we are safe in Christ, we are redeemed, saved, born again, and are destined for God’s glorious Kingdom! Rejoice, brothers and sisters! NO ONE in the entire Universe can take away your salvation and the forgiveness of your sins!

It is amazing of what Jesus did for us, when we were sinners and rebels. His love flows over us, not dependent on our performance but the finished work of Jesus. God has not forgotten us!

You have to know someone before you can truly love them. How do we get to know God? First, through His Word and faith in King Jesus. There’s another obvious way we can get to know God: through the world He created! There’s a reason the devil wants people to believe in evolution: you can’t love blind chance.
In fact, believing that every good, beautiful thing in the world is chance can lead you to despair. But the Bible says, “Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers and sisters. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” (James 1:17)
When you realize that the unspoiled parts of Creation are the creation of God, you begin to know that God loves beauty. That He is an unequaled genius of bioengineering. That He perfectly interweaves the VAST array of living creatures, inanimate objects, minerals, plants, light, wind, so that when undisturbed by the effects of sin, they work in perfect harmony. How could we not love a God Who creates such infinite beauty and perfect design?
Our God is more intelligent than the total intelligence of all the scientists who have ever lived. He’s so fast He makes a quantam computer feel inferior. He’s so loving that He gave us everything we need to sustain life and prosper.
Remember these things when the interference of men trying (literally!) to be gods devastates the world. We are not God. He is. 🙂 🙂
No matter what part of life on this earth you investigate, you will find a precision unequalled in human works, a beauty the most capable artists can only imitate. You will find also that God has left us wonderful mysteries for us to unravel!
There’s an old poem that says, “Poems are made by fools like me, but only God can make a tree!”
I wish there was time and space here to dig into just a little bit of just that one mystery: trees! You could write books and sermons for the rest of your life on the subject of all the trees God gave us and all the uses we have put them to! Science is full of the wonders, the mysteries, and the gifts that God gave us! Read your science texts, and fall in love with the God Who created everything scientists write about!
