In 1965 doctors operated on me and moved my heart and lungs and kidneys too their right places!! I have a Ruptured disk in my Neck at C5-C6, and a very bad Ruptured disk in my Lower back that is pressing on two sides of my spinal cord, with not enough room for the nerves too go through it, and its located at L4-L5!! “Let us therefore come Boldly unto the Throne of GRACE, that we may Obtain Mercy, and find GRACE to Help in time of Need.”
That’s such an incredible Scripture! Sinful humans who have been redeemed invited to personally come BOLDLY to the throne of the Creator of the entire universe!
There aren’t many human bosses who are willing to be that open to their employees. God is still God. He’s still infinitely powerful, frighteningly holy, but He’s willing for us to come BOLDLY to His throne! We have 24 / 7 access to our God!
We should approach with the greatest reverence, of course, but still … I don’t know if I’ll ever get used to that. But it is such strong encouragement! Thank you, Kristi, for that reminder!
“But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the LORD JESUS, to Testify the Gospel of the GRACE of GOD.” The previous verses say, “…now I go bound in the spirit to Jerusalem, not knowing the things that will happen to me there, except that the Holy Spirit testifies in every city, saying that chains and tribulations await me.”
Paul had already been beaten severely several times. Once it was so bad that his attackers thought they had killed him, and they left. My word, that’s awesome devotion to the Lord!
And the devotion of King Jesus to fulfilling His Father’s will and thereby saving us … I have no words.
“Amazing grace, how sweet the sound!” Heavenly Father, may we not be tried as Paul and Your other apostles were. But if we are, give us the strength and endurance to finish well in Your eyes.
