Kristi, I read once that if all New Testaments were confiscated, we could still duplicate most of it from the quotes found in the letters of believers. I’m laughing as I think that you are doing the exact same thing. You are preserving and making available the Word of God in such vulme it is amazing! Bravo!
It’s interesting that your main topic today is the Holy Spirit. I’m reading in 1st Peter right now, and through a labyrinth of thoughts, I looked up the words to an old hymn, “O Worship the King”, which is what we’d have called long ago “a resounding anthem of praise”!
I found the words on a site titled “Indelibe;l Grace Hymn Book”, igracemucis dot com. At almost the same instant your post of today showed up in my email.
The Holy Spirit is the gurantee or “earnest” as KJV says, of our salvation. His presence in our lives is FOREVER! In other words, indelible. Cannot be erased. HURRAH! Because the Holy Spirit gives us power to remain faithful. He strengthens and encourages us. He explains God’s Word to us when we don’t understand: “the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.” (1st Johnb 2:27)
There’s a command not to grieve the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 4:30) I think that if we will allow Him to, the Holy Spirit will make us sensitive to others’ pain, and I find that when I feel pain, I do not want to inflict it on others. That has been a big help to me in working to control and aim my words and thhoughts to be helpful to those around me. That is one way of being an example of our King and Savior. May I, and all believers in Jesus, be more like our God and King each day that passes. In His name, Amen.
