Perfect coloration in the Jonah graphics. Gloomy but defintely ocean scenes. The term “watery grave” comes to mind as I look at those graphics. Jonah’s words tell us he felt the same way.
But it’s AWESOME that God was just waiting for Jonah to accept his mission! God wasn’t punishing Jonah. He was coercing him, because Jonah was prejudiced and the survival of a major city of 120,000 people depended on Jonah. Being God’s anointed prophet, Jonah had to be the one to dleiver God’s last-chance warning to Nineveh. Nineveh and Israel were known to each other. Jonah, for example, knew the character of the Ninevites. News gets around. Undoubtedly it worked the other way too. The Ninivites would have known that Jonah was God’s anointed prophet. They would take him seriously. And when Jonah in desperation appealed to God in repentance, and promised to fulfill his appointed task, God forgave him and the fish spat him out.
God was mercy-full to the Ninevites too:
“And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.” (Jonah 3:10)

Krisit, you don’t allow politics here, so I will refrain. But I think I can say that, being in touch with things the “traditional” media will not report, I see things that are happening so fast that are so terrible. This nation is going to turn into a cauldron of bloodshed and horror, SOON. And soon after that, the whole world.

“Therefore let all the house of Israel [and America, and every nation] know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
