Ronald Reagan was one of the most good-hearted, good-intentioned presidents America has ever had. I don’t think people realized how wise he was, because of his soft-spoken nature. America was blessed by God to have Reagan as president. Twice!
No one is perfect except God, but there are occasionally some who are conspicuously closer to it than the rest of the population. Ronald Reagan was one.
The best thing about Reagan was his acknowledgment of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. And every soul on earth has the option of acknowledging the Holy One of Israel and Jesus His only begotten Son. If in sincerity and humility we confess our sins to Him and beleive that He raised Jesus from the dead, after this life we will go to live under the only government which will never fail, which has zero malevolence, and a promise of life eternal unmarred by pain, fear, death, or even our sins, because we will be transformed when we step inside Heaven’s gates.

That promise is true – ultimately. But we have the record of times in the past when Israel departed from God and was punished, In fact one of those times is mentioned in the beginning of Isaiah chapter 54. And unfortunately Zechariah chapter 14 tells us about another time still to come that will result in double the percentag of casualties of the Holocaust. Because Israel still has not turned back to God, especially by acknowledging their sin in rejecting the Messiah.
What is coming is from the Lord: Isaiah 26:20-21:
“Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. [This is a reference to the Rapture when all genuine believers in Jesus will be hidden in Heaven] For, behold, the Lord cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.” [That is a reference to God unleashing His wrath on the unbelieving world.]
We’re still in the Church Age, under grace. But in Luke 21, King Jesus gave a horrifying description of the Great Tribulation, which is the next time period on God’s timeline. And He said this:
“ For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.” (Luke 21:22)
Those who are Christians are already under the most horrible persecution in other nations, and we have no guarantee it won’t happen here. Our hope is only in faith in Jesus. We need to be aware that we may suffer. If we do, that does not mean that God has abandoned us or that His plan has failed. Jesus told us to expect these things. Born-again believers in Jesus here in America may be fortunate enough to be Raptured before it gets ugly here, but there is no guaraqbtee of that. Only that when we leave this life, we will go to be with the Lord forever.

Psalm 109 is a rant by King David against evil men, but it could be applied to the many evil people we see in power today.
Psalm 110 is a prophecy of the coming Messiah and the perfect justice he will enforce during the Millennial Kingdom. The guilty will not escape punishment, no matter how rich or powerful they are.
But Psalm111 is focussed on God: how majestic, how awesome, how good and wise and kind and powerful He is! It is the greatest comfort to reflect on the fact that this is the One Who is our God, and He will be completely victorious in the end. And we will be in His presence forever!
Verses 1-4:
“Praise the Lord! I will praise the Lord with my whole heart in the assembly of the upright and in the congregation. The works of the Lord are great, studied by all who have pleasure in them. His work is honorable and glorious, and His righteousness endures forever! He has made His wonderful works to be remembered; The Lord is gracious and full of compassion!”
Read that entire Psalm! It will encourage you when seeing and experiencing the first two happening discourage you! When I read it last night, I shouted for joy!
