Have any of you ever read C.S. Lewis’ :Chronicles of Narnia”? He wrote them for a young girl, just a child, whom he was realted to. But I and many other adults LOVE the Chronicles. They tell in analogue the story of Creation, the Fall, the curse of sin, the crucifixion of Christ on behalf of guilty sinners.
Sober-minded adults may call them foolishness. The same is true of “the Lord of the Rings” series. Good stories but not something to shape your life.
Well, no, BUT both authors were believer in Jesus. Both of those series pointed to the cross of Jesus Christ. And Jesus’ sacrifice of Himself for sinners IS something to bet your life on!
I testify to those who love the Chronicles of Narnia, they are not foolishness, because they point you to the preaching of the cross. The good news of God the Father sending King Jesus, His olly begotten Son, to earth to live a perfectly sinless life, and then to allow Himself to be executed and become God’s Passover Lamb, so that whoever believes in, trusts in, Jesus for their forgiveness of their sins – WILL NOT PERISH, but will have eternal life!
And not just ANY eternal life, but one filled to overflowing wth joy that will never end, with adventure that will not end in death or evil, with discovery and learning about God’s infinite Universe!
“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I, John, saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, ‘Behold!
