My word, Kristi, you chose some spiritually powerful, spiritually nourishing Scriptures for this post! Wow! Thank you!
( 1 Corinthians 13:6-7 KJV ) “Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but Rejoiceth in the TRUTH; Beareth all things, Believeth all things, Hopeth all things, Endureth all things.”
Verses 6-7 are part of the Holy Spirit’s description of love, translated “charity” here. The word “charity” is a translation of the Greek word “agape”, which is the New Testament’s word for the ultimate selfless enduring love. It’s the word King Jesus used in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world…”
If we have God’s kind of love, we cannot rejoice in iniquity, which is those things that damage, wound, hurt, or destroy. There is no possible way we can rejoice in these things.
On the other hand, ” Rejoiceth in the TRUTH” … “Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:31-32)
And the most important Truth: “Jesus saith unto him, ‘I AM the way, THE TRUTH, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.’ ” (John 14;6)
Who, being a born again Christian, does not love Jesus?! Our Redeemer, Savior, and King, Who left His throne in Heaven and lived as a man for decades, resisting 100% of the temptations of life, enduring slander against Himself and His mother all His life, and allowing Himself to be tortured to death so that he could BE the last sacrifice needed for our sins and the sins of the whole world! HOSANNA TO THE KING! Thank You, Lord Jesus!
The word “beareth”, according to Blue Letter Bible, means “deck, thatch, to cover; to protect or keep by covering, to preserve; to cover over with silence, to keep secret; to hide, conceal; of the errors and faults of others; by covering to keep off something which threatens, to bear up against, hold out against, and so endure, bear, forbear.”
Same thing in 1 Peter 4:8: “And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover [Blue Letter Bible: “to hide, veil; to hinder the knowledge of a thing”] the multitude of sins.” Same Greek word for charity.
In the words of the world, “I’ve got your back.”
“Believeth all things” makes Christians sound like idiots. Every adult and a whole lot of children and adolescents know you can’t believe everything you’re told. But when it’s God and His Word that tell us something, no matter how impossible it may seem, we can believe. See 2nd Kings chapter 7 ref the “lord on whose hand the king leaned”.
“Believeth all things, Hopeth all things, Endureth all things” means “always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres”.
Always trust GOD. Always hope in CHRIST. Always endure whatever we experience because we know our Gold loves us and He absolutely will not allow anything to touch us unless He is going to turn it into something for His glory and our joy. We may not see how or why in this life, but we trust and hope that He will.
To brothers and sisters in Christ who visit here, Kristi is an incredible example of “always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres”. We will see her in perfect health and shining like a star when we all get to Heaven. may God bless you even here, sister Kristi, and give you as much joy and comfort as is possible in His will.
Because of Jesus, we “always trust, always hope, always persevere”. He Who died for us and Who is God made visible. If ever we doubt that God intends to do us good, all we have to do is read about King Jesus in the New Testament. God has given us a visible demonstration of His love for us that can carry us above the waves of doubt and fear all our lives. Selah.

Just a last-minute note before I leave work for home: the days are getting darker, but that means our hope is getting brighter.
From “Dr. Luke”:
“And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.” (Luke 21:28)
The worse it gets, the closer we are to going Home. May God be with us all. May we listen carefully to His Holy Spirit and His Word. May we meet soon in God’s Kingdom and begin the most joyful celebration in the history of the Universe! See you there, brothers and sisters!
