In 1965 doctors operated on me and moved my heart and lungs and kidneys too their right places!! I have a Ruptured disk in my Neck at C5-C6, and a very bad Ruptured disk in my Lower back that is pressing on two sides of my spinal cord, with not enough room for the nerves too go through it, and its located at L4-L5!! Kristi, I have a question for you. Several times I’ve seen your comments urging people to click on the video links for the songs. Many of them I know, so I usually skip that. It occurred to me to ask, though, is there some benefit to your blog or someone else if we do? If so I’ll click on them. If not I’ll skip most of them because I know most of them. You can just answer, “Yes” and I’ll take it to mean there is some benefit to my clickikng on the song video. Or just “No” and I’;ll take it that you are just wanting to share good Christian music, but there’s no loss to anyone if we don’t.

Thank you, Kristi, for another Spurgeon sermon that stands squarely on the Bible.
Spurgeon taught what was in the Bible, thoroughly, and he didn’t miss much, if anything. Accustomed as I am to the weak, un-Scriptural preaching of today, I flinched when I saw the title “The Fatherhood of God”. Some teach that “all men are brothers”, as Spurgeon noted. But Spurgeon was true to the Word of God, as always. As Spurgeon said in this sermon, the Bible tells us that not all people are children of God.
But Spurgeon goes beyond the necessary negative teaching with something I’ve not heard before from this text. It’s obvious when he tells you, but easy to overlook! It’s worth hearing from him!
I came across this quote from Spurgeon in another source. It illustrates his common sense method of explaining Scriptural principles:
“A man’s life is always more forcible than his speech. When men take stock of him, they reckon his deeds as dollars and his words as pennies.”
As James put it, “Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.” (James 2:18)
