    As of this comment (July 14, 2024) we heard several years ago a very arrogant member of an elitist cartel say that humans are “hackable”. Meaning our DNA can be modified to become something better than human. The person who said that specifically said, “We don’t need some god above the skies”. For decades now, we have had genetically modified food. There are those who think they can modify the weather to prevent disastrous climate change.

    All these things operate on the idea that humans can do things better than God did. But for that to be true, those who modify would have to have more knowledge and power than God. Because God created all things as parts of a whole. Modify one thing and the unintended consequences are unpredictable by humans. Mess around enough and you create a total disaster. Chaos theory admits this. Google “the butterfly effect”.

    Obviously, selective breeding of plants and animals can produce good, useful results. It doesn’t always, but it can. But selective breeding is merely re-arranging the pre-existing potential. Genetic modification, HACKING DNA, is different. It’s an attempt to CREATE. But life is so complex and inter-dependent that only God has the knowledge and power to create without unintended consequences.

    Imagine taking a Buick sedan to a John Deere tractor mechanic for repair. The JD mech might fix the problem, because he is a mechanic, after all. The kinds of components in a car and a John Deere tractor are familiar to him. That’s selective breeding.

    Now imagine taking a Buick sedan to a theoretical mathematician for repair. When you get it back, it may have some interesting modifications, but it’s not going to work. That’s DNA modification or weather modification. Forget it. We’re so incompetent we don’t know how incompetent we are.

    But King Jesus created everything that exists, and He can fix it. When He was on this earth, He proved that, by healing those born blind, restoring lepers and paralytics to health, raising the dead, and feeding five thousand with a few loaves of bread and a few fish. Not only did He have the knowledge, He had the power.

    Because He created everything that exists. So if you have a problem in your life, take it to Him for repair. Jesus can fix anything!

    Understand, He may choose not to do a miracle for you, but if He doesn’t there’s a reason for that. You won’t know if you don’t ask. And the greatest miracle of all, Jesus WILL do for you:

    “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
