I wan Born with my Sternum Fused too my Back bone, my Birth Defect is called Pectus Excavatum. My Entire Rib cage was rebuilt and I have Stainless Steel wires that hold my rib cage together. In 1965 doctors operated on me and moved my heart and lungs and kidneys too their right places!! I have a Ruptured disk in my Neck at C5-C6, and a very bad Ruptured disk in my Lower back that is pressing on two sides of my spinal cord, with not enough room for the nerves too go through it, and its located at L4-L5!! It’s interesting that the Holy Spirit is often represented as a dove. He is so very gentle with us. Yet “greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world”. We know that the devil is immensely powerful, but the Holy Spirit is infintely more powerful than the devil. But He most ofetn speaks to us in that “still, small voice”, so calm and quiet that we have to learn to listen for His voice. The difference between the Holy Spirit’s power and the experience we have of His constant precsence in and with us is so vast that IO don’t know how to express it.
Thank you, Abba, for Your gentleness in dealing with us. We’re incredibly glad that You are the most powerful being in the Universe, because You are also holy and perfectly righteousness. Our world sees more evidence every day of the evil of “our” leaders. We are overwhelmed with joy that one day “the government shall rest upon His shoulder”! Amen! Hosanna in the highest! God speed that day!

Romans 15:13 “Now the GOD of Hope Fill you with all Joy and Peace in Believing, that ye may abound in Hope, through the Power of the HOLY GHOST.”
I didn’t connect power with hope, so I went to Blue Letter Bible and checked the Greek word translated “power”. The translation is correct – it’s the Greek word “dunameis”. Trying to connect the word hope with the word power, I get the picture of an old Superman comic book – a dangerous villain threatens a good guy, but the good guy sees SUPERMAN! coming fast to rescue him!
We may not be rescued from various injuries or attacks or persecution. But we know that in the end, our God WILL be triumphant, because He is “El Shaddai” – “the all-powerful One”!
We can say with Job,
“For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth. And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God, Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.” (Job 19_25-27)
Or as Paul wrote, “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” (Romans 8:37)
That’s not hope. That’s a rock-solid, steel-riveted, take-it-to-the-bank certainty.
