I Just got back from Very Northern California too my home in Troutdale Oregon Yesterday, So, I am going to Rest for the Next few days!! It was an over an 800 mile round trip driving for me in my 2012 Passat SEL Premium!!

“But He answered and Said, It is Written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every WORD that Proceedeth out of the Mouth of GOD.” (Matthew 4:4) Quoted above by Kristi.
This verse was one of Jesus’ replies to the devil when the devil was allowed to tempt Him in the wilderness, immediately after His baptism.
The devil was smart enough to wait until Jesus had fasted 40 days and nights. The suggestion was a reasonable one, EXCEPT that it would have meant that Jesus was using the power He’d been given for God’s purposes for His own physical needs. And it would have been a sort of replay of the Garden of Eden…
“What? You’re hungry? You don’t have to wait for God to miraculously feed you! Use the force!”
If Jesus had done so, he would have in essence been 1) taking orders from the devil and 2) implying that God wasn’t aware of His needs, or didn’t care about His needs.
Adam fell at that point. Jesus stood strong against the temptation. May God give us the wisdom to realize whether we face temptations or legitimate needs, and how and when we are to fulfill them, or of we are supposed to wait on the Lord. Or go without.
