Rosh Hashanah (Hebrew: רֹאשׁ הַשָּׁנָה, literally “head of the year”) is the Jewish New Year. The Biblical name for this holiday is Yom Teruah ( Hebrew: יוֹם תְּרוּעָה, literally “day [ of ] shouting/raising a noise” ) or the Feast of Trumpets. It is the first of the High Holy Days or יָמִים נוֹרָאִים Yamim Nora’im ( “Days of Awe” ) which usually occur in the early autumn of the Northern Hemisphere. Rosh Hashanah is a two-day celebration, which begins on the first day of Tishrei. The day is believed to be the anniversary of the creation of Adam and Eve, the first man and woman, and their first actions toward the realization of humanity’s role in God’s world. Rosh Hashanah customs include sounding the shofar ( a hollowed-out ram’s horn ) and eating symbolic foods such as apples dipped in honey to evoke a “sweet new year”.
The word “rosh” is the Hebrew word for head, “ha” is the definite article, and “shanah” means year. Thus “Rosh HaShanah” means ‘head of the year’, referring to the Jewish day of new year!!

( II Chronicles 7:14 KJV ) “If My people, which are called by My Name, shall humble themselves, and Pray, and Seek My Face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I Hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will Heal their Land.”!!

( Psalms 122:6-9 KJV ) “Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee. Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces. For My brethren and companions’ sakes, I Will now say, Peace be within thee. Because of the house of the LORD our GOD I Will Seek thy good.”!!

The time of the Gentiles is coming to a close, Messiah will fulfilling Zechariah’s prophecy and meet his people on Mount Zion! He will be delighted to meet his people, and they will be joyful and mournful at meeting him. Until then, May the Jewish people prepare for that day by not giving up after thousands of years of Satan trying to prevent it. Delight in the Tanakh, all of it, don’t leave out the prophets, both walking and writing, and don’t be misled by the Kabbalah. Follow the word of our G-d, you’re and mine, not that of man.
