Good evening, Kristi Ann and friends. Thank you, Kristi, thank you for this powerful post honoring our GOD and SAVIOUR!!
The song is as simple and clear as it gets. We’re sinners who need a Saviour, and “there is only one name given under Heaven among men by which we must be saved” – Jesus, King of kings and Prince of Peace. As the old hymn said, “When we all see Jesus, what a day of rejoicing that will be!”
If you think about a sports event where an underdog faced a stronger team and pulled off a winning play at the last minute, how their fans rose ROARING to their feet to cheer their team – have you ever felt that excitement?
That’s the way it will be when we all see the King Who left His throne on the world’s biggest rescue mission. We’ll be cheering Him! He’s the one who carried them ball across the goal line in spite of all odds. Except His goal line was a cross.
Think of it – He rejected every temptation the devil threw at Him for His entire life! He tolerated mean-spirited, completelty unfounded insults against Himself and His mother. Threats from humans could not intimidate Him. When He was arrested, He managed the event so that His disciples were not also arrested. He refused to be embroiled in argument during the illegal trials He endured, He never insisted on His rights, which were violated by both Roman and Jewish standards of law. He could have avoided it all – “Don’t you know that I could ask My Father and He would immediately send Me ten thousand angels to rescue Me?” – He hung in agony and public shame on that cross and in spite of all the jeering, the insults, except to say He was thirsty, His only words concerned others. He assured a repentant thief “Truly, you day you will be with me in Paradise!” He prayed for the soldiers who drove the spikes into His body. When He saw it was almost over, He made sure His mother would be taken into a home where she would be taken care of for the rest of her life. Only after fully completing His rescue mission did he surrender His spirit. “No man takes My life from Me!” He GAVCE His life for us! Incredible!

Jesus Christ is Saviour indeed but the Hebrew Roots Movement is a in my opinion!!
