“The Lord had said to Abram, ‘Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.’ ” (Genesis 12:1-3) This promise was repeated to Abraham’s descendants down through the generations. The Most High, the Holy One of Israel, does not break His promises.
The most important way in which Israel has been a blessing to all nations of the earth is that the Savior, the Messiah, came into the world through Israel. Although Israel as a nation did not officially recognize and authenticate Messiah Jesus as the Savior, thousands of Israelites did:
Jesus’ disciples, of whom there were at least hundreds by the time of His crucifixion. (1st Corinthians 15:1-9)
About three thousand. (Acts 2:37-41)
About five thousand. (Acts 4:1-4)
An unknown but very large number, including priests: “Then the word of God spread, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were obedient to the faith.” (Acts 6:7)
We have only seen “the tip of the iceberg” of the massive blessings to the world because of Israel. It’s true that the powerbrokers in Israel at the time of Jesus rejcted Him and (as much as possible) suppressed the truth about Him. But that is not the last of Israel’s story:
“Again I ask: Did they stumble so as to fall beyond recovery? Not at all! Rather, because of their transgression, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel envious. But if their transgression means riches for the world, and their loss means riches for the Gentiles, how much greater riches will their full inclusion bring! I am talking to you Gentiles. Inasmuch as I am the apostle to the Gentiles, I take pride in my ministry in the hope that I may somehow arouse my own people to envy and save some of them. For if their rejection brought reconciliation to the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead? If the part of the dough offered as firstfruits is holy, then the whole batch is holy; if the root is holy, so are the branches.” (Romans 11:11-16)
Israel will recognize her Messiah and call on the Most High for His return:
“And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son. On that day the weeping in Jerusalem will be as great as the weeping of Hadad Rimmon in the plain of Megiddo. The land will mourn, each clan by itself, with their wives by themselves: the clan of the house of David and their wives, the clan of the house of Nathan and their wives, the clan of the house of Levi and their wives, the clan of Shimei and their wives, and all the rest of the clans and their wives.” (Zechariah 12:10-14)

May G-d bless Israel with peace, prosperity, and a people in good health… May Jerusalem be suited and the Temple Mount restored, may God part the Seas and move the mountains once more… delivering His Chosen People from the hand of their enemies.
Let the Church acknowledge its roots and the Tree its source… let all of Israel be united… the broken in spirit mended and the crooked made straight… let the blind see and the lame walk and the river of life fill the hearts of God’s People… For, the end comes like the wind, it descends upon a world in turmoil… with great trepidation, the nations of man look with fear upon the Eastern sky… for the Son soon shall soon appear and judgment shall begin… Amen.

Sorry for the double comment, Kristi. I don’t understand why there’s zero indication that a comment was received. I don’t mind at all waiting for moderation, especially given the odd hours I sometimes post. But there was nothing to tell me whether my comments last night were acknowledged. Also, I seem to have two accounts that are somehow linked but only partially. I can sign in with one, then the other requests me to sign in again. Very puzzling.
