It isn’t always easy to trust God, for many people. I have a friend who, after a long period of trouble, prayed, “Lord, I know why You’re doing this, but WOULD YOU PLEASE STOP?!”
I laughed when she told me that. She had already passed that test by then. The humor of her spontaneous, frustrated reply, with its acknowledgment that God had a purpose and wasn’t just aggravating her for no reason, just tickled my funnybone.
God is patient with us, and He will teach us to trust Him, if we let Him. I walked a long way down the road of anger toward God before He told me “I’m no going to take any more of this from you!” That shook me up, but it was the beginning of re-establishing trust and love toward Him. Turning that corner made my life so much happier!
