  12. ( Isaiah 9:6 KJV ) “For unto us a Child is Born, unto us a Son is Given: and the government shall be upon His Shoulder: and His Name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”

    The first Christmas was such a joyful day that holy angels sang to shepherd (about two years later) to announce the birth of the King of Kings. I can’t imagine the joyous uproar among the holy angels when King Jesus returned to Heaven, the REDEMPTION of humanity accomplished (those who believe in Him), having “the keys of death and of hell” in HIS hands! HALLELUJAH!

    There will be another day when we the redeemed will throw the biggest, loudest, happiest celebration in all eternity in honor of our Go,d out King, and our Redeemer!

    King Jesus commanded us to observe communion to remember Him until He returns. But there are also other ways we can remember Him, like telling anyone who will listen about our Savior. Like living as holy and righteously as we can:
    “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16))

    Amen. May we stand firm in the faith and always honor God the Father and King Jesus

  13. “But while he thought on these things, behold, the Angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is Conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.” (Matthew 1:20, quoted above by Kristi)

    God made certain that Mary’s honor and Jesus’ legitimacy were certified to all who cared to know truth. All His life, Jesus was slandered because the runors of the manner of His birth were whispered about by scandal mongers who didn’t care about ruth.

    But the Holy Spirit put several unmistakable certifications in the Bible for those who desire truth.

    The first indication of Jesus’ miraculous birth is Genesis 3:15: “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”

    Wait, the woman’s seed? “Seed” is the word for the male contribution to pregnancy. What’s a woman doing having a seed?

    Virgin birth.

    Another certification is Isaiah 7:14: “Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin [Hebrew wodl alma] shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.”
    Those who hate truth have said the word translated virgin can mean nothing more than a young woman. That’s ridiculous given the context: what kind of sign is it that a young woman would concieve? That “sign” would be meaningless. Further, Blue Letter Bible gives us this quote:
    “There is no instance where it can be proved that ‘almâ designates a young woman who is not a virgin. The fact of virginity is obvious in Gen 24:43 where ‘almâ is used of one who was being sought as a bride for Isaac.” (R. Laird Harris, et al. Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament, p. 672.)”

    There’s the testimony of an unnamed angel of the Lord telling Joseph that Mary was pregnant by the Holy Spirit. And there is the testimony of Gabriel himslef, one of the chief angels (Luke 1:19) telling Mary that she had “found favour with God”. When Gabriel tells her of her coming pregnancy, Mary replies logically, “How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?”

    NEWS FLASH: There’s no way she would have asked that quetion if it was not true. It wouldn’t have made sense to ask. Gabriel explained that she would become pregnant by the power of the Holy Spirit.

    So if you ever hear anyone saying “God doesn’t have a son”, explain it to them. He does have ONE Son of Whom He said, “I will declare the decree: The Lord has said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.’ ” (Psalm 2:7) That Scripture was quoted in Hebrews 1:5, by the Holy Spirit Who is the real author of all Scripture, as applying to Jesus.

    God has many “sons” by adoption (Romans 8:15) but only ONE Son Who was “begotten”. John 3:16:
    “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son …”
    The word translated “begotten” is a compound word, monogenese. Mono meaning one or only and genese meaning “begotten” or sired, fathered.

    Jesus is the only uniquely born Son of God. Unique because He was born of a virgin by the power of the Holy Spirit.

    In the Great Tribulation, the devil will present an anti-Christ, a false prophet, and an apparent resurrection from the dead. But he can’t produce a virgin birth. he won’t even try.
