Crystal, I know you weren’t asking me, but …
“They say” – but what does God say? There are conditions and circumstances in the Bible which resulted in some people being single all their lives.
God did say, “It’s not good for a man to be alone”. Nor for a woman. If I had the chance to start again as a young man, or even a middle-aged man, I would make finding the right mate a matter of continuing prayer. I did not do that. I just let myself fall in love without consulting God at all. Fortunately, I discovered my mistake before we got married, but the pain was severe.
These questions are very personal and probably should not be answered in a public forum. That’s OK. They are questions you and God can and should talk over…
Have you prayed specifically about whether you >>should<< be married or not? If after a time of prayer about that question, God has not made you aware of any reason you should NOT be married, then this question:
Have you prayed for specific guidance about how you will know God’s choice for you? Also tell God what you think you want in a husband. Take your time. Think it out, maybe even write it out and read your own words several times. Decide what you think you want, what you think you need in a husband, and discuss it with God. Discuss it! Not just say it once and wait for an answer. If you talk to God about everything that matters to you in a mate and you do so over a reasonable amount of time, God will begin to answer your questions and guide you in choosing / recognizing the man you should marry, IF in fact you should marry.
A woman told a friend of mine years after a hasty marriage, “It’s better to be alone than to wish you were.” Remember that many men are not good men, even if they appear to be on the surface. I’ve encountered absolute horror stories (that I knew to be true) of women who married a man who appeared to be a good Christian and was not.
You should be in agreement about the important doctrines of Christian faith (assuming you are a Christian) with anyone you even consider marrying. You’ll never agree on everything. That’s not necessary. But the basics are necessary.
Be sure of the kind of man he is before you make any commitment at all. If you have specific guidance from God and you find a man who fits God’s description, that still won’t mean your marriage will be perfect. But it will give you the certainty to get you through times that make you question your decision.
Ask God for either something so specific and individual that you can’t possibly make a mistake, or for several points of identification.
Heavenly Father, I ask earnestly that You give Crystal Your guidance on this important question, Help her to hear the voice of Your Holy Spirit, especially if anything I said is not correct. I ask these things in Jesus’ holy name. Amen.

Yes! “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” (Genesis 1:27)
There are some who claim that God and Christians hate the various members of the “multiple genders” now proclaimed. That’s not true. Here’s an illustration of the truth:
If you enter a Maserati in an off-road race, you’ll damage the car badly, lose the race badly, and the manufacturer will be heartbroken to see one if its masterpieces of automotive engineering abused by making it try to do something it was never intended to do.
If you try to run an Inkas Huron APC (google it) at Daytona, ditto.
God designed men and women for different purposes. Thee is some overlap and some “emergency dual capability”, but for the most part, men and women are different to better handle different tasks. If a man tries to be a woman or vice versa, the result will be losing the race of life, damaging themselves and those around them.
So Christians tell people the truth, at least occasionally. Not to hurt or shame them, but to let them know the truth, in the hope that they will come to the Truth that saves – Jesus Christ!
