  1. Shalom, Kristi Ann! What does ‘Am Israel Chai’ mean? Chai happens to be my maiden name. I just looked it up and it means ‘is alive’. AMEN, THE NATION OF ISRAEL LIVES! CHAI means ‘IS ALIVE’! Good maiden name, I might say, especially since I don’t really know my roots!
