In a landmark law suit, a US jury has awarded over $655 million in damages to the victims of the Second Intifada — the suicide–bombing war waged against Israelis by the Palestinian Authority in 2000. Israel Law Center attorney for the plaintiffs, Nitsana Darshan-Leitner, joins VOI’s Josh Hasten by phone to discuss the case and its ramifications. She says that while the verdict constitutes a historical breakthrough, the strenuous work of securing the actual funding for the victims and their families starts now!!
