Liberal Media vs. 60 Minutes, Witnesses Can Settle Benghazi Betrayal!
The murmurs of scandal have now reached a level where they will not be easily quieted. The high-profile members of the Hussein Obama administration cannot easily continue to avoid the issue of Benghazi. The attacks that killed four Americans were supposed to be, as Hussein Obama described them, “speed bumps.” Americans are not speed bumps, and this arrogant insensitivity to their deaths is about to become much more than a political bump in the road.
Patriotic Americans who know that something is amiss in our country have been clamoring for hearings and some action to determine the responsibility for not only the inadequate defenses, but the deficient response to the threat as well as the live action. We also need answers in reference to the extent and nature of the obvious cover up that is still ongoing.
Liberal outlets are railing against the recent CBS News 60 Minutes report on the events of September 11, 2012. The report has drawn greater scrutiny into the official version of events provided by the Hussein Obama administration and highlighted questionable actions of the American leadership, including then Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton.
The 60 Minutes piece features the account of “Morgan Jones,” a pseudonym for Dylan Davies. Davies was working as a security contractor, charged with the supervision of unarmed Libyan security guards at the compound in Benghazi.!!
The liberal media in America has leveled charges that the report’s credibility has been called into question due to a contradiction between the story that Davies told to his workplace superiors and the account that he gave to 60 Minutes.
On the night of the attack, Davies had been instructed by his superiors to remain at his home and not to go to the compound. Davies submitted a report three days after the events which shows he obeyed the instructions of his employer.
His personal account in the television program as well as that provided in a book he has written differ greatly from the one submitted to his employer, and highlight heroic efforts on the part of Davies to help his foreign comrades.
The administration media propaganda arms have failed to make an effective argument as to why this whole issue should be just quietly papered over the way Fast and Furious; Extortion 17 and the other Hussein Obama scandals have been to this point. In fact, their inclusion in the discussion has created a new foundation for the opposite position.
If, as they claim, the account given by Davies is fictional, there is an easy way to establish that. Unfortunately for the administration, that way also leads to the revelations of exactly what took place.
There are other survivors alive today, who could provide a first-hand account of the heroics or fabrications of Davies. It would be a simple matter to question them under sworn testimony as to the veracity of Davies’ claims. It would also, at the same time determine a host of other acts, events, responsibilities and shortcomings in the conduct of others involved, including the leadership, all the way up to the level of the presidency.
The Republicans in the Congress seem adamant that this scandal be officially addressed through witness testimony and they need to hold fast to those demands. If they do, the public outcry that will result should be enough to pry open the door into the secrets that the promised “most transparent administration in history” is keeping from the American people.
Let us take this rare opportunity to join the liberal media in calling for an accounting of the discrepancy in the two differing narratives. The way to get to the truth of the matter is to demand full disclosure. Many of those involved in the events of that night would likely want their story to be told. It is the responsibility of our government to permit that disclosure to take place.
