This is part of Psalm 65. The whole Psalm is apparently written in the same mood many Christians are in today – looking forward to the return of the Lord and to the final establishment of God’s eternal Kingdom. I smile when I read this because I feel the same things I think the Psalmist was feeling…
Praise is awaiting You, O God, in Zion;
And to You the vow shall be performed.
You who hear prayer,
To You all flesh will come.
Iniquities prevail against me;
But for our transgressions,
You will provide atonement!
Blessed is the man You choose,
And cause to approach You,
That he may dwell in Your courts.
We shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house,

I guess I need prayer for my family as they don’t bother with me anymore but I know the Lord Jesus is always with me. I have had so many amazing miracles, praise the Lord for His love.

Being alone is hard. It’s good that you know King Jesus is with you. But we all need human contact too. That’s the worst of this covid. It was well planned to keep us isolated.
Abba, I lift Roger’s family up to You and ask that You touch their hearts, cause them to desire to return to family feelings with Roger. When we have no contact with our families, Abba, we suffer. As You know, because King Jesus is one of us, incredible honor for us! And because “He came to His own, and His own received Him not.”
Abba, Your word says that on that last final day when the leaders of Israel had finally, officially rejected king Jesus for the last time, He went up on the Mount of Olives and wept over Jerusalem. We know that He knows Roger’s pain. We ask that You give Roger the comfort of knowing in a special way that he’s part of Your family. King Jesus said, “If anyone comes to me, there is no way I will reject him.” We ask that You make that known and felt to Roger in a very special way. We ask all these things in the holy name of Jesus. Amen.

You’re right, Slimjim. We sure need prayer. The regime is using the Afghanistan abandonment as an excuse to bring in “minimum 200,000 Afghans” – none of them vetted. And how many American warriors and citizens are still in Afghanistan? Alive? Waiting to be captured by the taliban? And those Afghans who helped them, and American citizens. This nation is in extreme danger.

I learned something interesting today. I was listening to a Chuck Missler lecture on the Gospel of John. In that lengthy lecture, he mentioned that in Genesis, as most of us know, the Hebrew says that “Elohim” created the heavens and the earth. Elohim is a masculine plural noun, b ut it’s not defined as “two or more”. It’s a peculiarity of the Hebrew that Elohim means “three or more”. So there you have the Trinity right in the first few verses of Genesis.
But there’s more! The word Elohim is declined as a singular noun! One person. “Three in one and one in three, and the One in the middle, He died for me!” The Trinity and the Savior, in the first few verses of Genesis!
